State of the Union
1. recession- Our economy has been in a recession for a while and we need to get out of it soon.
2. hope- Believing in our country's prosperity
3. adversity- Our nation has to overcome adversity
4. strength- We need to have the strength to overcome our problems
5. unified- Our nation has to be together in order to work correctly
6. rescue- We need to rescue ourselves from our old problems
7. stabilizing- We have to focus on stabilizing our economy
8. Workforce- Is the backbone of our society
9. Engine- We need to work like a well running engine
10. Tax cuts- Create a just tax system
11. Small business- Create new jobs and innovation with small businesses
12. Banks- Get our banks in working order
13. Wall street- improve our economy
14. infrastructure- improve the basics of our nation
15. Energy-efficient- learn not to waste resources and create renewable ones
16. Borders- Improve our border security
17. Expansion- Grow as a nation and improve
18. Foundation- Create a strong foundation so we can go ahead with harder problems
19. Jobs- Create jobs, and decline our unemployment
20. Innovation- New ways of thinking for our growing economy
21. Reform- Change our problems into solutions
22. Global markets- keep jobs here, and trade with different nations
23. College- Get more people into college and learning
24. Affordable- Make products affordable for Americans
25. Homeowners- Improve the housing sector
26. Republican- Be more accepting of Democrats
27. Democrats- Be more accepting of Republicans
28. Trying- Continue trying and hoping for better
29. obesity- Decline the obesity rate for a healthy America
30. Health care- Make health care more affordable and convenient
31. Surplus- Create a surplus and a growing economy
32. Spending- Reduce tax payer spending
33. making over- fixing past mistakes
34. Gimmicks- Having a honest government
35. Solutions- Create solutions for problems and put them into action
36. Lobbyists- Dont let lobbyists control government
37. Trust- establish trust between one another
38. Campaign- This speech helped Obama's perception
39. Govern- Keep the people in control and working order
40. Ambitions- Go out and be ambitious to create new things
41. Renewed- A whole new nation
42. Focus- Staying on track for a great future
43. Troops- Protecting our troops and getting them home safe
44. Employment- Get companies to start hiring
45. Discrimination- Treat everyone as equals
46. Rules- Having structure to keep moving forward
47. Contribute- Making sure those who contribute benefit
48. Gay- improving tolerance against differences
49. Pride- Taking pride in who we are
50. Labor- Hard work and determination for a better tomorrow

Class Discussion
I thought that the class discussion today on the topic of the mosque being built in New York was a great discussion. It brought up many new thoughts on the proposition of this mosque. Although my view on this subject stayed the same, i learned alot that i did not know previously about the building of this mosque. There is no clear answer to this problem though, but conversing and discussing helps us clear up the reasons why people are for, or against the building. I liked the fact that our class had different opinions, which led to more learning. In the beginning, i felt that a big part of the class was going to be against the building of the mosque, due to the fact that many Americans are sensitive to what happened during 911, when what ended up happening was a not this. My classmates brought in good information and view points which made for a riveting discussion.
