Class Discussion
I thought that the class discussion today on the topic of the mosque being built in New York was a great discussion. It brought up many new thoughts on the proposition of this mosque. Although my view on this subject stayed the same, i learned alot that i did not know previously about the building of this mosque. There is no clear answer to this problem though, but conversing and discussing helps us clear up the reasons why people are for, or against the building. I liked the fact that our class had different opinions, which led to more learning. In the beginning, i felt that a big part of the class was going to be against the building of the mosque, due to the fact that many Americans are sensitive to what happened during 911, when what ended up happening was a not this. My classmates brought in good information and view points which made for a riveting discussion.
